🍨🍹Aniplus café x BanG Dream!

“BanG Dream” X ANIPLUS café

Good News!!

To all those currently living on the small island nation of Singapore, we finally have a permanent anime cafe opened on the island.
Wooooooo 🎉🎉🎉

Recently opened last year, the café is still relatively new to the Singapore scene; a nice addition to the current anime scene present here.
The cafe has the “Collaboration Café” concept from Japan; where for a limited period, it will have a special themed interior, curated collaboration menu, exclusive premiums, merchandise and imported official goods from Japan – to fit in line with the collaborating anime.

The current collaboration is with…
“BanG Dream!” !!
(if you have yet to watch “BanG Dream!”: do read my reviews for S1 & S2, hopefully they’ll convince you to watch the series)

Quote from the official website:
“On to our next stage, ANIPLUS café!
BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! X ANIPLUS celebrates the musical dream with a variety of experiences – from a special themed interior, curated collaboration menu, to exclusive premiums, merchandise and imported official goods from Japan – for everyone to enjoy, all in one place.
This is the very first BanG Dream! official collaboration café outside of Japan. Join us as we celebrate music and dreams!”

Let’s have a look at the café:

~Entrance of the café~

Despite being tucked away in a corner of the Esplanade area, it is pretty hard to miss the café given the huge glass panel present of our lovely Bandori ladies~
I’m sure some of you may have realized, why are there only five ladies there ??
Well, as one would have it, the main stars of the café are the lead vocalist from each of the five bands most prominent from the series.

Moving into the café:

When you first enter the café, it’s hard to not be amazed at all the Bandori decor carefully spread out across.
From the tables to the walls, it just puts a smile on one’s face to be able to see one’s favorite anime spread out in front of them.

~Overall view of the ordering counter & seats~

Each table is designed after 1 out of the 25 girls from each band.
I suggest one to find their favourite girl and sit at that table if it is not occupied.
Nothing beats being able to dine with your favourite girl after all.

~The table I happened to chose that day~
Now who is the best girl to me… I’mma let you decide 😉

Now, the thing that makes a café a café has gotta be the food.
Well… there’s no sugar-coating it: the collaboration menu is pricy.
The stuff on the regular menu is priced pretty average though, so if you like to visit to soak in the environment without having the break the bank with the collab menu, the normal menu is worth considering.
I highly recommend trying out the stuff on the collaboration menu at least once if you can afford it.

Truth be told, correct as of the writing of this article, this is the third time I’ve visited the café.

This time, given how I visited during tea time, I thought it’d be nice to order the “Girls Band Tea Time Party” from the collab menu, with a collab drink.

Girls Band Tea Time Party” & the “Poppin’ Party” soda

If you’re curious, this is what I got when I visited the café for the very first and second time.

On the left: the “Pastel*Palettes fuwa fuwa waffles” & “Roselia” soda
On the right: the “Hikawa sister drink combi“, during their Christmas weekend promo

While the two food items I’ve tried are nothing spectacular, I found the sodas to be the main show-stealer.
Despite having only tried 3 out of the 5 bands; of the ones I’ve tried thus far I personally feel the colour and toppings used, help create a taste that captures and represents each band’s personality.

Of course, if you like to visit the café to purchase some anime merchandise you can as well.
Apart from Bandori items, they have a nice array of series available for you to choose from as well.
Just to name a few: Sword Art Online, Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata, Love Live! Sunshine

While in the café, do try your best to spot all 5 vocalist standees.

Before you leave, don’t forget to leave a message on their board~

~There’s writing material’s present beside for you to write any message you like~

Saving the best for last, on the way out you’ll be greeted by this gorgeous mural of the 5 lovely lead vocalist~

In closing~
Even after visiting the café three times, I can honestly say it still has this special charm that will undoubtedly put a smile on your smile.
I will most definitely be visiting the café again soon; gotta try everything on the collab menu before it changes 😉

~Special news~
For every item you buy from the collab menu, you stand a chance to bring home of these 5 lovely coasters. While stocks last.
